NYSSO offers online NYS approved continuing education credits to members and non-members through the:

As a New York State Continuing Education Sponsor for Ophthalmic Dispensing, NYSSO fulfills its commitment to the profession by offering FREE NYS Continuing Education to all NYSSO ACTIVE members.  NYSSO welcomes all New York State-licensed opticians who are not members to participate in our educational opportunities for a minimal fee of $30 per credit.  Non-members are welcome to join the Society at any of our educational events to avoid the $30 per credit fee.

NYSSO offers three (3) opportunities for licensed opticians to obtain NYS Continuing Education:

LOCAL REGIONAL MEETINGS
NYSSO's seven (7) local regions meet and offer NYS Continuing Education credits throughout the year. For a list of our Regional schedules and course offerings, please go to our CALENDAR OF EVENTS. 

REGIONAL SYMPOSIUMS
NYSSO offers several full-day regional meetings, which offer four-six (4-6) NYS Continuing Education credits.  An updated schedule of Regional Symposiums is provided below.

MAIL-IN CREDITS
NYSSO offers mail-in credits which can be downloaded, completed and mailed to the NYSSO office for NYS Continuing Education credit. Our current mail-in credits are available below.
